The fall weather is starting to roll in on the Kings Coast and one of our highly anticipated flavors is the Spiced Apple Crisp latte. There's just something about the sharp green apple, brown sugar and cinnamon combination that pairs extremely well with our Countach Blend.
The cinnamon and brown sugar take this latte to another level, using the entire green apple, peel and all really ramps up the flavor you can extract from this syrup.
We launched the Spiced Apple Crisp latte on our seasonal menu and it's really quite something special. If you're not a local but still want to be able to enjoy this seasonal special, here's a recipe for how you can make it at home!
- 1 Granny Smith Apple (peeled and chopped up)
- 3 Cinnamon Sticks
- 1 Cup of Brown Sugar
- 1 Cup of Water
Combine and stir all ingredients in a sauce pot and bring to a boil and quickly reduce to a simmer. Simmer for about 10 minutes and enjoy the aromas that will begin to make your kitchen smell incredible! Strain the syrup through a mesh sieve and store in your refrigerator. The syrup will stay for about 10 days, but chances are you'll use it all up before it goes bad anyways!
